Perform digital noise assessment of virtual prototypes to meet low noise targets, reduce cost and avoid delays during flight test and certification
High accuracy flow simulation enables noise assessment of the virtual aircraft early in the design process before physical prototypes can be built; Automated, validated, and repeatable CFD best practices to deliver key KPIs such as whole aircraft EPNL (Effective Perceived Noise Level) at certification points (approach, sideline, and takeoff); Gain insight into physical noise mechanisms and identify potential for noise reduction concepts; Execute digital design and analysis loops within two weeks for a fraction of the labor and hardware cost compared to months or years lead time for wind tunnel and flight tests; Reduce risk associated with meeting certification requirements and airport community noise targets
